Christopher Escobedo

Chris Escobedo is a Schneider Fellow working with the policy team in Sacramento, California, and the Debs Park team in Los Angeles. As an undergraduate at Stanford University, he majored in Earth Systems, focusing on environmental policy and human-environmental systems. His work with the Transformative Climate Communities at the CaDOC, and with California Rural Legal Assistance in Modesto, California, has centered on varied environmental justice issues. Chris will work on several projects with Audubon involving policy development, advocacy, and community engagement, focusing on anti-displacement and combating green gentrification. Chris is inspired by these types of projects and the actions of other communities in this field to build a more inclusive environmental movement that protects and promotes justice and equity for all.
