Protecting Mangroves in Panama to Create a Better Climate Future

A new project with the Panama Audubon Society combines science, policy, and community engagement.
As Program Associate for the International Alliances Program at Audubon, Liz works closely with local partners to conserve key bird habitats in Latin America and the Caribbean. Liz helps manage programmatic aspects of IAP’s work, with a particular focus on Panama and is based in Washington DC. Before joining Audubon, Liz spent a year as a Fulbright scholar in Costa Rica working on a community-based mangrove reforestation and blue carbon project. Liz holds a BS in Environmental Science from the University of Florida and a MS in Ecology from the University of Georgia.
