Daniela Linero
Daniela Linero is the GIS and Data Analysis Specialist for Audubon Americas. Since she joined Audubon in 2020, she has been compiling and harmonizing biological data to nominate Key Biodiversity Areas for threatened shorebirds in the Bahamas. She also supports and performs spatial analyses to identify priority sites for effective implementation of conservation strategies across Latin America.
Prior to this role, Linero worked at the Colombian Primatological Association where she carried out the first land-cover classification and deforestation analysis for two rural towns in Colombia. Additionally, she conducted environmental education workshops and participated in monitoring the sites’ biodiversity with the local communities. Daniela is a passionate conservationist currently based in Bogotá, Colombia. She has a master's degree with distinction in ecology, evolution, and conservation from Imperial College London. She also obtained her bachelor's degrees with highest honors in biology and ecology from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
