Marci Eggers
Marci joined Audubon in October 2023 as Vice President for Conservation for Audubon Americas. In this role, she leads the development and implementation of conservation strategies across Latin America and the Caribbean, manages the Americas team of Country and Conservation Strategy Directors, supports program design and coordination, and provides strategic direction to advance our habitat, climate, policy, and community-building priorities in the regions.
Before joining Audubon, Marci worked for American Bird Conservancy (ABC) as the Director of Migratory Bird Habitats in Latin America and the Caribbean, where she managed ABC's efforts to protect and restore priority landscapes that migratory birds depend on in their non-breeding grounds. Prior to ABC, Marci worked for The Nature Conservancy (TNC) for 18 years, leading conservation and communications programs across Latin America and the Caribbean, where she supported corporate and humanitarian partnerships to advance collaborative initiatives to achieve the protection and restoration of important habitats for the benefit of both nature and local communities, especially given the adverse impacts of climate change in the region.
Marci holds an International MBA from the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business and during her business school studies, she worked with educational non-profits in Santiago, Chile, to strengthen their operations. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Emory University.
